Dedicated Analytical Laboratory — scientific control of every bath, every day
Technocrats India maintains a dedicated Analytical Laboratory on-site, staffed and equipped to monitor and control plating bath chemistry continuously. Bath analysis is not an afterthought — it is a daily discipline that determines whether a plating line produces a consistent, OEM-compliant coating or not. Every plating solution is characterised by metal ion concentrations, complexant levels, pH, and additive balance. Deviations are corrected before production runs, not discovered after them.
This in-house analytical capability means our process engineers control the quality of the chemistry — not the chemistry supplier. It eliminates the lag between detection and correction that external laboratory testing introduces, and provides the continuous process data that feeds our ISO 9001:2015 PDCA improvement cycle.
Hull Cell Testing — validating deposit quality before production begins
Hull Cell testing is a pre-production quality gate. Before any production run, a sample of the plating bath is tested in a Hull Cell — a small trapezoidal tank designed to simultaneously expose a test panel to a wide range of current densities. The deposit quality, appearance, and alloy composition across that range reveal whether the bath chemistry will produce an acceptable coating at all points on the rack or barrel load.
If the Hull Cell panel shows burning at high current density, pitting, poor coverage at low current density, or incorrect alloy appearance, the bath is corrected before any production components enter the line. This prevents defect batches and the cost of rework or rejection — a discipline that is standard practice at Technocrats India but absent at many electroplating operations.
Why it mattersDefects caught before production
Hull Cell screening identifies bath problems before components enter the line — eliminating the risk of a full batch rejection at the QC stage.
Consistent bath chemistry
Daily analytical lab monitoring ensures metal ion concentrations, pH, and additives stay within specification — the foundation of consistent coating performance.
Rapid correction loop
On-site laboratory eliminates the lag of external testing. Chemistry problems are identified and corrected within hours, not days.
OEM audit confidence
Documented lab records and Hull Cell results provide evidence of process control during customer audits — a differentiator in automotive supply chain qualification.
Integrated Quality Assurance System
Together these systems provide end-to-end process assurance — from bath chemistry to final component release. Learn more about XRF measurement →
Critical parameters are monitored daily. Full analytical checks — covering metal ion concentrations, complexants, additives, and pH — are performed at regular intervals and whenever process data suggests a drift. Corrections are made immediately before the next production run.
Hull Cell testing is performed before production runs — particularly when a bath has been reformulated, after a period of downtime, or when incoming analytical results indicate a chemistry change. It is a standard pre-production check embedded in our quality system, not an occasional exercise.
Yes. Customer audits of our analytical laboratory, Hull Cell procedures, and process records are welcomed as part of supplier qualification. Our laboratory documentation and Hull Cell test panels are retained and available for review. Contact us to arrange a facility visit.
